It was a short week but we accomplished a lot.
We did some self-reflecting based on our First Nations animals. Students decided what they need to improve on and what they felt confident in based on Communication, working collaboratively, and critical and creative thinking.
In math we have been expanding numbers and using it as an adding strategy. We also did some activities around estimating and rounding. Students also had to guess the unknown number and balance the equation.
In Science, students explored why we have seasons through videos, a flashlight experiment, group work and student presentations. Next week we will be looking at the moons phases.
Students also presented their story of their name in groups and in front of the class. We finished our read aloud of Charlotte's Web and some students read the last couple of chapters out loud. We created simple comic book stories. Students had a group discussion about manners and politeness.
